Maureen Carroll founded M Carroll Consulting in 1998. From 1998 to 2018, she established and nurtured relationships with countless clients, many of which would go on to become close friends.
Under her stewardship, M Carroll Consulting worked on projects of all size and scope, from the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre and national conferences, to personal work for individual entrepreneurs. For 20 years, Maureen worked alongside clients in both the public and private sectors, and with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Maureen was especially proud of her extensive work with the Aboriginal community, working with multiple individual communities and larger organizations across Cape Breton (Unama’ki) and throughout Atlantic Canada.
Maureen also mentored several young women during her career. She viewed those who worked for her as family and they saw her in the same light.
Sadly, Maureen left us far too soon in June of 2018. In the months prior, she passed control of the business to her nephew, Evan, who will work to carry on the spirit of her company and foster the relationships and good name she built over her career.
In memory of Maureen, a scholarship has been established at Cape Breton University for 2nd and 3rd year female students attending the Shannon School of Business. Please consider contributing and help foster the next generation of female business leaders in Cape Breton.
